Soulages Museum

The Soulages Museum is a contemporary art museum located in Rodez, in Aveyron, in the Occitanie Region.

Built to display works by French painter Pierre Soulages, it also receives temporary exhibitions from other contemporary artists. This museum houses the world’s largest collection of works by the painter Pierre Soulages, born in Rodez in 1919.

Its bell tower, its gargoyles, its pink sandstone, its stained glass windows, the cathedral is unique, just looking at it, you will already take your breath away … Often photographed, it is advisable to approach it to judge its imposing size.

The Fenaille Museum

In the heart of the city of Rodez, the Fenaille museum owes its international fame to its exceptional collection of statues-menhirs, so dear to the painter Pierre Soulages.

Erected nearly 5,000 years ago, these prehistoric sculptures remain deeply enigmatic to this day. Over 2000 m², the route takes visitors to the heart of an old mansion, to meet many masterpieces from Antiquity, the Middle Ages or the Renaissance.

Denys Puech museum

The Denys-Puech museum is a Fine Arts museum essentially dedicated to sculpture, from the mid- 19th century to the present day.

It was originally a monographic museum based on the academic heritage of Denys Puech, but it is focused on contemporary creation, thus illustrating, through its collections and exhibitions, the link between the past and the present.

Belcastel Castle

Built 1000 years ago on a solid rocky outcrop, this magnificent fortress born on a chapel of the 9th century lives its history shaped over the centuries by generations of knights, nobles and outlaws.

The castle remains a private residence today, but the owners welcome the public there and offer a tour of the fortress which, in addition to its status as a historic monument, houses a thriving art gallery.

The village of Conques

A major monument of medieval architectural heritage on the road to Compostelle, the Abbey of Conques, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, houses an incomparable treasure of Romanesque sculptures magnified by the stained glass windows by Pierre Soulages.

The medieval village, which came to be grafted around the monastery, makes Conques one of the most beautiful villages in France. Conques is also awarded the Grand Site d’Occitanie label.

The Golf de Rodez Agglomeration

The only 18-hole course in Aveyron, the Bluegreen Rodez Agglomeration golf course is a hilly course offering an exceptional view of the city of Rodez and the surrounding countryside..

Designed by Robert Berthet, this rather technical par 70 of 5506m, will allow players of all levels to exercise their talent on a course with quality and regular maintenance.
